INTRODUCING HARRIET
Harriet is a telecommunications device that connects unhoused New Yorkers to each other and community organizations without the use of mobile data or WiFi. This project allows unhoused New Yorkers to access housing resources, improved disaster resilience, and a stronger community.
HOW IT WORKS
Harriet is a phone accessory that uses long range (LoRa) radio to send text messages over long distances without the use of mobile data or WiFi.
