What are the future plans for the Harriet project?

Goals for the project include adding encrypted (OTR) messaging in 2025. By the end of 2025, the Harriet devices will be powered by renewable energy. Many unhoused individuals lack consistent access to electricity, but without access to electricity, our devices are useless.

We also try our best to avoid electronics made with cobalt. In the short-term, this means avoiding usage of lithium batteries, which are usually manufactured using cobalt.
